Romance scammers build trust quickly and then ask for money. Know the signs.

Red flags

• Professes love within days.
• Always has an excuse not to video-chat or meet.
• Asks for money, gift cards or crypto — for any reason.
• Pushes you to move to another app straight away.

What to do

Never send money. Block and report the profile. If you already sent funds, contact your bank and local authorities right away.
